Oak in the final stages
Back from the bank holiday break the Oak Frame is in the final stages of completion, there is one gable end and a stack of rafters to be lifted into place and then most of the first floor frame joints will need to be pinned.
I have contacted www.oakcleaning.co.uk to get some idea of the costs to get the frame profesionally cleaned, I was considering doing it myself but it does now look a daunting task so I think it may well be time to get the experts in!

Hi there,
I work for True North Productions and we’re currently making a new property series for BBC Daytime called ‘To Build or not To Build.’ It is presented by Kristian Digby, following his own self-build project and meeting a vast spectrum of self-builders from around the UK. We’re looking to spend a day at a self-build project currently in progress and having read your blog, I’d be really interested to speak to you further.
I’d be really grateful if you could drop me an email at gemmabrady@truenorthproductions.co.uk or give me a quick call on 0113 2228281 to let me know whether you would be interested in speaking to us further.
All the best,
Gemma

Hi mate,
Finally took time to read your blog from the beginning. As an Architects Assistant/Post Degree archiecture student i found it really interesting! Especially as i’ll be looking to do this kind of project myself in the distant future.
I’d love to see the revised plans for how it is going to look now? I saw the orginals prior to the council having their way with them.
Looking forward to more updates.
Ben
