Open Eaves
Having chosen some exposed rafters in the Master bedroom and in the sitting room at the design stage we decided to have conventional ceilings in the other bedrooms. We did this for to go this route mainly because of the extra cost having Oak rafters throughout.

Frame nearing completion
As the frame is nearing completion I am turning my attention to the roof.
I have already ordered the tiles from Tudor Roof Tiles and am awaiting a delivery date. We have chosen a mixture of 2 colours, 65% medium antique and the remainder the plain red as with our other buildings on the site.

The Oak frame has started to go up
The crane arrived first thing as arranged, as the ground is pretty soft it took quite a while to get set as we needed matts ouspread the weight out. Ang brought the kids up on the way to school to see the crane, they seemed really exited and could not wait to go and tell [...]
Oak Frame Delayed
Welsh Oak have been delayed by the weather on another site and have had to pospone the delivery and erection of our frame.
It is really dissapointing as this is the second delay and we will now be 5 weeks behind schedule assuming they do turn up next monday.
