Our Self Build Design
Thought I would post some copies of our drawings, we really like the void above the sitting room (although I want this to be the dinning room)
Angela got her wish with the breakfast room, all in all John Welsh Oak managed to tick all the box's on our wish list.
We love the feel of the wealden Hall look and with john help managed to add some of our own ideas.
Looking forward to he Easter Weekend the Kubota is being delivered on Friday so I will have 4 days of playing with it!

After years of having a dream to self-build I have finally decided to do something about it. We moved into our first home last year but I have started to research my / our dream.....
Today we paid our first visit to some land in Little Gaddesden in Hertfordshire. I am finding that locating even the smallest piece of land is a nightmare (and extremely expensive) and I feel like I'm at the start of an extremely long road, but I relish the challenge.
I have read your blog so far with interest and a tinge of envy. It's a good idea looking and asking around the local area for land but I think our options will be severely limited and subject to a certain amount of luck as where we live (Loughton, Essex) is somewhat expensive - we pretty much got laughed out of an estate agents this afternoon when we asked if there was any land available in the area.
